Alliance Health Celebrates Volunteers’ Week

The hospital volunteers of Madill Alliance Health were treated to a special

luncheon on April 22, 2021. CAO Tracy Byers and Administrative assistant Stacey

Sharp presented the members with gifts. Each member was awarded

a certificate of appreciation. WillaDean Caldwell and Jane Matlack Shockley were

awarded plaques for five years of service. Viza Haley was given a special award for

being Volunteer of the year.

After the celebration, the volunteers held their monthly business meeting.

Tracy Byers gave a report on the status of the building project. The new patient

rooms should be ready for occupancy soon. An announcement will be made so

the public can see the progress before patients are moved in. A new gift shop will

be completed in the future, and we plan on having a grand opening. Mr. Byers

also reported that a new doctor has signed on to Alliance after she completes her

residency.

The members were saddened by the loss of two long time members, Rosa

Shelly and Jane Morgan. Their names will be added to the memorial.

Several names were mentioned for possible future volunteers. When

things open back up and especially when we get into the new shop, we are going

to need more help. Anyone interested. Please contact Stacey Sharp at the

hospital.

The next volunteers meeting will be May 13. 2021.
