Danny Doil Wofford, 69, of Kingston, Okla. passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 at his home in Kingston. He was born on December 14, 1951 in Borger, Texas to the late James Doil Wofford and Iona June Beesinger Wofford.
Danny was raised in Amarillo, Texas where he graduated school and later worked as a transmission mechanic. He moved to Kingston and has worked for Oklahoma Steel & Wire for the past 20 years. His co-workers called him Rosie.
Danny was affiliated with the Baptist faith and his favorite pastime was fishing on lake Texoma, and growing tomatoes and peppers. In his younger days, he enjoyed working on race cars and racing lawn mowers. His greatest joy was spending time with family, friends, and his special dog Bebe.
He is survived by his life partner Sheila Herndon of Kingston, Okla., children; Erin Dollinger of Haslet, Texas, Danielle Wofford of Haslet, Texas, Trina Lee of Madill, Okla., Kay Forguson of Kingston, Okla. grandchildren:; Gabhan, Blake, Jeremiah, Bryton, Carter, Alexus, Trace and Zach, great grandchild Bryliena Leslie, sisters; Kathy Jo Wofford Hoffman and husband Shawn of Casper, Wyo. Edda Hustead and husband Steve of Amarillo, Texas.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ricky Wofford
Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Watts Funeral Home in Kingston, Okla. Saul Ruiz will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
