Madill baseball hits a triple

The Madill Baseball team traveled to the School of Advanced Studies known as Classen SAS on March 29, 2021 for a double header. The Wildcats brought focus and heat in the first inning when Steven Sisco singled a ground ball. Cash Coble walked and Case Coble singled a ground ball to the short stop while Sisco scored. Ty Rushing doubled on a fly ball to left field, with Cash scoring.

Caden McHatton got out at first but Rushing was able to score. Houston Stephenson singled on a ground ball to second base and then Griffin Williams hit a double on a fly ball allowing Stephenson to score. Williams then scored at home plate. Brylee Bruster was hit by pitcher and Jackson Roberts doubled on the ground ball to left field. Sisco got hit by the pitcher and Bruster scored on a steal to home plate. Cash Coble hit a single a fly ball to right field giving Roberts a score and Sisco scored on a steal to home. Case Coble tripled a fly ball to left field where Cash was able to score. Rushing walked. McHatton singled on ground ball to the shortstop allowing Case to score. Stephenson walked and Williams hit a single a ground ball to centerfield giving Rushing a score. Bruster walked and McHatton was able to score. Roberts hit a double on flyball to left field where Stephenson and Williams both scored. Sisco doubled on a ground ball to right field allowing Bruster and Roberts both to score. Sisco hit a double on a ground ball to right field giving Brewster and Roberts both a score.

Cash and Case were both pegged by the pitcher. Rushing walked and Sisco scored. The Wildcats are able to hold Classen to three consecutive strikeouts. At the end of the first inning, the Wildcats led 17 to 0.

To begin the second inning, McHatton singled a ground ball to the short stop. Stephenson hit a single on a flyball to right field and Koby Treadwell was hit by the pitcher. Bruster was then hit by the pitcher but McHatton was able to score. Roberts struck out. Sisco doubled on fly ball to center field allowing Stephenson and Treadwell to score.

Madill again played stellar defense by getting three back-to-back strikeouts on Classen. The Wildcats were able to close out the game when Cash Coble hit a double on a fly ball to right field. Case Coble also doubled on a fly ball to right field allowing Cash to score. Andrew Ray walked and McHatton singled on a pop fly. Cade Barker walked allowing Case Coble to score. Koby Treadwell struck out and Bruster pops an out at shortstop. Roberts walked allowing Ray to score. The Wildcats won the game 23 to 0.

The second game started with consecutive strikeouts on Classen. Sisco hit a single on a pop fly to centerfield. Cash Coble hit an inside homerun with Sisco scoring as well. Case Coble hit a double on a fly ball to centerfield and Rushing hit a homerun on a fly ball to left field. Case Coble scored.

McHatton was hit by a pitcher. Stephenson got out from a pop fly to the short stop. Bruster singled on a pop fly to pitcher. River Shaw doubled on a fly ball to right field giving McHatton and Brewster the ability to score. Williams was hit by the pitcher.

Sisco hit on an infield fly to short stop and. Williams was picked off at first base. At the end of the first inning, the Wildcats led 6 to 0.

Once again, the Wildcats defense was too much for Classen as they were held to back-to-back strikeouts. Cash Coble struck out bit Case Coble hit a single on a ground ball to first base. Rushing hit a double on a fly ball to centerfield allowing Cash to score.

McHatton walked and Stephenson singled on a ground ball allowing Rushing to score. Bruster hit a single a fly ball to right field with McHatton scoring on a steal. Stephenson got out at second base. Shaw walked. Williams grounded an out to the short stop. With the second inning closed, Madill led 9 to 0.

Classen was once again up and out with three strikeouts in a row at the beginning of the third inning. Sisco walked and Cash Coble doubled on a fly ball to left field allowing Sisco to score. Case Coble was hit by the pitcher and Arturo Gomez, a courtesy runner, scored. Rushing tripled on a fly ball with Ray, a courtesy runner, scored. The Wildcats won the game 12 to 0.

On April 1, the Wildcats hosted the Marietta Indians. The Wildcats defense was stellar in the first inning allowing the Indians to get one hit and three strikeouts. Sisco hit a single on a fly ball to right field.

Cash Coble got out on a pop fly to left field. Case Coble grounded out to the second baseman and Rushing struck out.

The Indians got a walk and then three outs to start the second inning. McHatton singled on fly ball. Stephenson hit a pop fly and got out at second base. Williams grounded an out to first base and Bruster struck out.

The Madill defense forced three consecutive outs for the Indians in the third inning. Roberts popped an out to second base. Then, Sisco lined an out to second base. Cash Coble hit a fly ball. Case Coble hit a double on a fly ball to centerfield. Rushing was hit by the pitcher which allowed Case to score.

McHatton hit a pop fly to the short stop and got out.

The Indians were able to get on the scoreboard with one run to start the fourth inning. Stephenson was hit by the pitcher. Williams hit a single on a ground ball to centerfield. Bruster and Roberts both struck out. Then, Sisco got out from a pop fly to the short stop.

The fifth inning did not start well for the Indians. They got three back-to-back outs. Cash Coble singled on a ground ball. Case Coble hit a double on a fly ball to right field with Cash scoring. Rushing struck out and McHatton hit a single on hard ground ball to third base. Stephenson singled on a bunt to pitcher. Williams hit a single on ground ball to the shortstop with McHatton scoring. Bruster singled on fly ball to centerfield and Stephenson scored.

Roberts got out at first base and Sisco popped an out to the shortstop.

In the sixth inning, Marietta was able to get a single on a ground ball but Madill‘s defense was too much and stopped the Indians from scoring. Once Madill was back up at bat, Cash Coble walked. Case Coble hit a single on a ground ball to the short stop. Rushing hit a single on a fly ball to right field. McHatton hit a ground ball and Cash was out at home. Stephenson got out by fly ball to right field but Case and Rushing both scored. Williams hit a pop fly and got out at first base. The Wildcats got their third win for the week 7 to 1. Head Coach Frank Thompson gushed on the team’s third win.

“We played really well,” Thompson said. “Got good pitching performances from Cash Coble and Stephen Sisco. We also hit the ball really well. Everyone played well.”
