Barbara Louise Rowe

Barbara Louise Rowe, 97 of Madill, Okla. passed away on March 24, 2021 at the hospital in Madill. She was born on October 5, 1923 in Bartlesville, Okla. to the late Alvin Elijah Garrison and Eva Elmo Eller Garrison. Louise was raised in Fox where she graduated high school in 1940. She received a scholarship to Draughon School of Business in Oklahoma City where she lived at the YWCA.

After a blind date with Rex Ray Rowe, they were married on November 2, 1946 in Oklahoma City, Okla. He preceded her in death after 64 years of marriage on June 9, 2011. The couple spent many years traveling, camping and bass fishing with close friends, Gene and Von Winegert and other close friends. Louise was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Madill and she enjoyed fishing, cross stitching, crocheting, working crossword puzzles and reading. Her greatest love was her family, grandkids and talking on the phone.

She is survived by her children; Susan Wade of Washington, Okla., Patricia Moore of Madill, Okla., Terry Rowe and wife Glenda of Catoosa, Okla., seven grandchildren; Julie Milton and husband Steve of Fargo, Okla., Kyle Wade and wife Lacey of Washington, Okla., Micki Burton of Madill, Okla., Kevin Rowe and wife Trinity of Inola, Okla., Keith Rowe and wife Melissa of Parkhill, Okla., Craig Wade and wife Carla of Gunter, Texas, Angie Wright and husband Shannon of Madill, Okla., 15 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother; Harold Garrison, one granddaughter; Sandra Rowe, one great grandson; Blake Rowe and two sons-in-laws; Kelly Moore and Gary Wade.

Visitation was held Friday, March 26, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla.

Services were 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill, Okla. Randy Kendrix officiated the service. Music was arranged by Amanda Phipps. Service was under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
