Redskins v Tigers

The Roff Tigers visited the Redskins on Saturday, February 6, 2021. This game was added after Vanoss bowed out. Tigers headed into the game with an impressive 21 and 1 record and ranked #2 in Class B. They lived up to their billing, because the Redskins fall in this one, 67 to 55.

In the first quarter, the Tigers were up to the task. They were comfortable running the floor and rebounding. Brady Brister, as he often does, came out ready to go. He had three buckets and was 4 of 4 from the line. Dakota Wiebener hit a three and Ludrick had a bucket. Hays was 2 of 2 from the line. Despite a 17-point effort, the Redskins were trailing, 25 to 17.

Second quarter scoring was hard to come by. Brister had a bucket and was 2 of 2 from the free throw line. Wiebener again had a three-pointer. Reid Cason had a bucket and was 1 of 2 from the line. Tigers were now leading 39 to 27 at the end of the second quarter.

The third quarter was no easier. Hayes had two field goals and was 2 of 3 in the third. Wiebener again had a three and a two-point field goal. Braden Matchen had a fieldgoal. The lead had swelled to 56 to 40.

Fourth quarter action had Brister with a three and a two and getting to the line where he was 2 of 2. Jesse Rose, Hayes and Cason all had buckets. The final score was 67 to 55.

Box score: Brister had 21 points to lead the team. He was a perfect 8 of 8 from the line. Next up was Wiebener with 13. He was 2 of 3 from the free throw line. Hays with 10 points, including 4 of 5 on free throws. Cason had five points and was 1 of 2. Rose, Ludrick and Matchen all with 2 points. As a team, 15 of 18 from the line for 83%.
