Queen Candidates
Ryleigh Combs is the daughter of Chance and Courtnie Combs. Her grandparents are Jay and Lisa Combs, Brad and Judy Griffith, and David and Shelly Ruch. She has two siblings, Reagan a freshman and RaeLee a seventh grader. She is on the varsity cheer team, and she is involved in FFA and track. In her spare time, she loves to paint, and hang out with friends and family. After high school, she plans on finishing basics at Murray State University, then going to OU for the dental program to become a dental hygienist. She plans on getting married “somewhere along the road.”
Lala Flores is the daughter ofJeronimo and Gumercinda Flores. Lala has eight sisters and four brothers. She is involved in band, cross country, and track. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with family and friends. After high school, Lala plans on attending Murray State College.
Maritsa Mendez is the daughter of Miguel and Adela Mendez. Her grandparents are Lorenza and Berulo Ibarra and Petra and Pifanio Mendez. Maritsa has three siblings; Emanuel Fuentes who graduated from Madill in 2015, Mariana who is also a senior and David who is in ninth grade. She is involved in band, cross country, and track. In her spare time, she likes to hang out with friends, and she works at Sonic. After high school, Maritsa plans on joining the Navy and becoming a LS.
Aylin Salazar is the dauther of Faustino and Maria Salazar. Her grandparents are Jeronimo and Gumercinda Flores and Isaias and Juana Salazar. She has three siblings. Laila is a sixth grader, Areli is in fifth grade and Reyna is in First grade. Aylin is involved in band, and is the yearbook editor and a student council member. In her spare time, she likes to read books, watch movies and hang out with her family and friends. After high school, she wants to attend college and get a degree in liberal arts.
KING CANDIATES
The only Senior wrestler this year is Griffon Williams. His parents are Joe and Shannon Williams. His grandparents are Bryan and Cecelia Williams, Jean Ann Pruitt and the late Bob Pruitt. He has two siblings, John Venable and EJ Holliday who both graduated in 2020. Griffon is involved in football, wrestling, track, bowling, student council and National Honor Society. He was awarded December Student of the Month, A+ Athlete, First Team All-District offensive lineman, 2019 Best ofthe Arbuckle’s, 2019 4A Regional Heavyweight Champion and 2019 State 4A Heavyweight placer. In his spare time Griffon enjoys “kickin it” with the boys and doing anything extra to better himself. After high school, Griffon plans on getting a coaching degree and coming back to Madill to coach. He plans on having a “smoke show” as a wife and “having D1 babies.” Griffon’s favorite memory in high school is getting to see his friends every day before he graduates.
Junior Cade Barker is the son of Travis and Darschell Barker and his grandparents are Pat and Corky Day and David and Clarasa Barker. Cade enjoys wrestling and baseball and after high school, he plans on going to college to get an engineering degree.
Junior Tito Martinez is the son of Oscar Gomez and Bianca Barrientos. Tito’s grandparents are Juan and Maria Barrientos and Theodore Gomez and Maria Rodriguez.
