Lettuce talk about pesto

Lettuce is a vegetable that often gets overlooked. However, whenever somebody learns they need to start eating healthy, salad is usually the go-to.

Lettuce has many health benefits. Besides, weight loss and other countless benefits, one benefit is lowring blood pressure.

The only downfall is it is easy to get tired of always eating lettuce. Here is a yummy recipe to try when you think you can’t stomach one more bite of lettuce.

Lettuce Pesto

3 cups lettuce (or salad mix)

1 ounce Parmesan

1/3 cup pine nuts

1/8 cup olive oil

3 garlic cloves

2 tablespoons of melted butter salt & pepper to taste.

Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend on low until a desired consistency (about 30 seconds)

Use as a dip, or add a little broth to make a great sauce over pasta.
