Johnnie Eugene (Gene) Kesterson, 71, of Kingston, Okla. passed away on April 2020 at his home in Kingston. He was born on October 23, 1948 in Idabel, Okla. to the late Doyle Kesterson and Dovie Mae Rodgers Kesterson.
Gene was raised in Madill where he attended school. He married Linda Duralene Boggs on July 23, 1982 in Ardmore, Okla.
Gene also lived in Ardmore and Gainesville, Texas before moving to Kingston in 1992. He worked for several years in maintenance at the Kingston Public Schools and retired in 2019.
Gene enjoyed deer hunting and loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Linda Duralene Kesterson of Kingston, Okla., his children; Gary Selder of Kingston, Okla., Patti Colwell and husband Bert of Gordonville, Texas, nine grandchildren; Lee and Amy Allison, Cody Allison, Collin and Torii Colwell, Cara and Miles Standard, Cole and Kaytlin Colwell, Tori and Rick Edwards, Dillon and Machela Looney, Destry Looney and Kari Best, five great grandchildren, sister, Marie Westbrook and husband Dave, if County Line, Okla.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
