Robert (Bob) King McCourry

Robert (Bob) King McCourry 64, of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed away on February 28, 2020 at Medical City in Plano, Texas. He was born on June 9, 1955 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ted McCourry and Mary Sue Milner McCourry.

Bob was raised in OKC where he graduated high school from Putnam City in 1973. He attended college classes at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, before going to work for United Engines as a master diesel mechanic. Bob worked as a mechanic for many businesses including, Big Mack Transmission, North Texas Marine, and most recently, Tycoon Motorsports.

An avid outdoorsman, Bob loved spending time camping, hunting, and fishing. He also loved working on his ranch and tending to his cattle.

He is survived by his daughters: Kristen and James Holmes of Choctaw, Okla., Kara and Josh Williams of Newcastle, Okla., grandchildren: Blake, Katelynne, and Kaleigh Williams of Newcastle, Okla., Ashlynne and Madilynne Allen of Choctaw, Okla., brothers: Joe McCourry and wife Tamara of The Colony, Texas, Bill McCourry and wife Kathy of Kingston, Okla.

Bob was preceded in death by both his parents.

Visitation was held Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the Watts Funeral Home, Kingston, Okla. from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Services were 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the Watts Funeral Home, Kingston, Okla. Steve Beebe officiated the service. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.

Casket Bearers were Aaron Hess, Greg Grier, Lance Milligan, Blake Williams, James Holmes, and Josh Williams.
