Bruce Lynn McEachran

A graveside service to honor the life of Bruce Lynn McEachran was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2019, at Lightning Ridge Cemetery in Roff, Okla.

Bruce Lynn McEachran passed from this life at the age of 85 on Sept. 11, 2019, in Sherman, Texas. Bruce was born on April 23, 1934, to Robert Lynn and Dorothy (Perkins) McEachran.

He received a master’s degree in teaching at East Central University in Ada, Okla., and loved every minute of his teaching career. Bruce proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Roff, Okla.

During Christmas time you could always find Bruce dressing up and playing Santa Clause for people and taking pictures with all the little kids; he was a kid at heart himself. One of his favorite things to do recently was every morning him and his wife, Mayme, would get up and make breakfast and play cards, mainly hand and foot until noon before they would start their day.

He loved tinkering with things and woodworking. A loving, caring and one of a kind husband, dad, friend to so many and will be greatly missed.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy McEachran.

Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his wife: Mayme; children: Roberta Anderson and husband, Curtis, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Robert McEachran and wife, Naomi, of Roff, Okla.; Thelma McDonnald and husband, Dusty, of Noble, Okla.; Robert Smathers and wife, Leslie, of Round Rock, Texas; Ken Smathers and wife, Cindy, of Llano, Texas; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brother: Brian McEachran and wife, Diana.
