Cameron Lindsey, a 32-year-old from Madill, is currently facing Second-Degree Murder charges after his fatherwasfoundmurderedin 2019. Lindsey is also facing charges for Malicious Injury to County Property after an incident at the Marshall County Jail.
On July 30, a jail employee notified MCSO regarding an inmate being irate and requested assistance.
A deputy responded to the jail and learned that Lindsey was transported to the MC Jail from the Dept. of Corrections to answer to a warrant. The deputy was told that while detention staff was preparing Lindsey for transport back to the Dept. of Corrections, he allegedly became irate and started acting out.
Jail personnel said that Lindsey began sliding his bunk around the cell. At one point, it is alleged that he rammed the bunk into his cell door.
Jail personnel remained outside of the cell, trying to de-escalate the situation and calm Lindsey down. When a deputy arrived to assist, they were able to get control of the situation.
Lindsey was transported back to the Dept. of Corrections and the Jail Administrator inspected the damage done to the cell. The jail personnel saidLindseyslammed his bunk into the door so hard that it caused two bolts to shear from the inner stational locking mechanism, compromising the integrity of the cell door.
Charges were filed against Lindsey and he will have to transported back to Marshall County to answer to the charges.
