Brooks hosts Healthcare education event

Robert E. Brooks, Independent candidate for Governor of Oklahoma and founder of the Farmer Servant Movement, will be in Madill on August 26, 2026 for a free Medicare and Oklahoma Healthcare Educational Event. Theeventwillbeheldfrom 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The Madill City Library at 500 W Overton St Madill, OK and is free and open to the public.

With Medicare and health insurance enrollment season approaching, Brooks will put his years of insurance and healthcare experience to work helping Oklahomans better understand Medicare and their healthcare options.

Topics will include Medicare education and updates, programs that may help qualifying individuals with prescription drug and healthcare costs, SoonerCare, the Affordable Care Act, individual health insurance and challenges facing rural healthcare in Oklahoma.

Attendees do not have to be on Medicare to participate. Seniors, caregivers, families, healthcare professionals, small-business owners, community leaders and anyone interested in healthcare in Oklahoma are welcome.

More than a decade ago, Brooks opened his insurance brokerage with a primary mission of helping Medicare beneficiaries, particularly Oklahomanslivingonlimited incomes.

Brooks traveled across Oklahomahelpingpeopleunderstand Medicare and educating qualifying individuals about programs that could help reduce prescription drug and healthcare expenses.

His brokerage eventually expanded beyond Medicare and health insurance to provide automobile, homeowners, business and other types of insurance, but Brooks said helpingpeopleremainsatthe heart of his approach to both business and public service.

“When I started my brokerage, my mission was helping people — especially people living on limited incomes who needed somebody willing to sit down with them and help them understand their options. Now, with Medicare and health insurance season approaching, I'm putting that experience back to work for Oklahoma.”

In addition to healthcare education, the Madill event will serve as a community meet-and-greet with Brooks.

Residents will have an opportunity to meet him, ask questions, challenge his ideas, discuss issues facing Oklahoma and tell him directly what their community needs.
