The Forecast Calls for

A stretch of wet, cooler weather moves into the Madill and Lake Texoma area beginning Thursday as an upper-level storm system approaches from the Southwest U.S., bringing chances for rain and a few thunderstorms through Friday. Highs will stay in the 60s, while nighttime lows drop into the upper 40s to low 50s. Most of the rain will develop as warmer, moist air overruns a cooler surface layer, which will limit severe weather but can still produce periods of heavier rainfall. Any lingering showers clear out Saturday and Sunday turns warmer and mostly sunny with highs climbing into the 70s. An active pattern looks to continue next week, with warmer temperatures but additional rain chances potentially returning as another system approaches from the west.
