Deer hunters from across Oklahoma and beyond are invited to converge in the state’s capital this month for a special conference designed to bring together sportsmen and women of all skill levels. TheOklahomaDeerHunting Conference, set for August 23–25 at the Oklahoma City Convention Center, will feature expert-led seminars, interactive workshops and the latest in hunting gear and technology.
Organizers said the event aims to provide something for everyone, from first-time hunters learning basic safety to seasoned outdoorsmen seeking tips on advanced tracking and trophy buck management.
“This is about building community and sharing knowledge,” said conference coordinator Mike Hensley. “Whether you’ve been hunting for decades or you’re just starting out, you’ll find practical advice, hands-on training, and a supportive group of fellow hunters.”
The three-day event will also include demonstrations on ethical hunting practices, habitat conservation and proper field dressing techniques. Vendors from across the country will showcase rifles, bows, camouflage gear, game calls and other hunting essentials.
Family-friendly activities are also planned, including a youth archery range and a venison cooking contest. Conservation groups and Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation representatives will be on hand to provide information on hunting regulations, licensing and wildlife management.
Tickets are available online and at the door, with discounts for youth and veterans. Doors open daily at 9 a.m., and parking is available on-site. For more information, visit okdeerconference.org.
