TFD: Roadside cleanup

The volunteer Fireman’s Roadside cleanup will be on Saturday November 2. The volunteers for the cleanup will meet with Todd Cissel at fire station 1 at 8 a.m. located on Texoma Park Rd. at the railroad crossing. For anybody with any questions regarding the cleanup, Cissell can be reached at 580564-7008.

Breakfast will be served at the training community center after the cleanup at approximately 9 a.m. Volunteers are needed to donate breakfast items for approximately 20 people. The Texoma Fire District Auxiliary will be hosting a bake, craft and rummage sale on Saturday November 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the training community center, located at 10978 Parkview in Kingston. For anybody who would like to register as a vendor, please contact Crystal Tatum at 214-460-3345 or MarieBurryat405-834-5675 for a registration form. The event will be held inside with limited space.

Tables will also be available to set up outside, weather permitting. The cost is $20 per table. Vendors can also work out of their truck or trailer outside at a charge of $20, as well. The The auxiliary will also be asking members to donate baked goods to be sold at the event.

The Texoma Volunteer Fire Department is still in need of a Fire Board Volunteer. The candidate needs to be a paid member of the Texoma Fire District, able to attend all meetings on the first Thursday of each month at the Auxiliary Building.

The next TFVD Auxiliary meeting will be held November 18, 2024 at 1:30 p.m., with a social at 1 p.m. prior to the meeting. The exercise/ stretching classes are every Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m..

Card games are on the second and forth Tuesdays at 12 p.m.. All Auxiliary members are welcome to join.

Calls are monitored twice a week, so please allow plenty of time for the event. The cost is $75 per day, and can only be rented by members of the Fire District. Please be advised max capacity is 158 people.

The Lighthouse Methodist Church located at 4923 Alberta Creek Road provides an evening meal from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Lighthouse Kids Program for grade school children consisting of Bible stories, crafts and games is held each Wednesday 6 p.m. to 7p.m. following the meal.
