Sand mine approved

The highly-debated application for the proposed sand mineinMarshallCountywas approved by the state. More than 100 residents voiced their opposition to the sand mine that is projected to go in the western part of Marshall County at a meeting in June.

Even though the application was approved, it still carries some conditions. The conditions include notifyhing surrounding land owners about blasting, conducting pre-blast surveys and reports for each shot.
