The Madill Fire Department, along with MCEMS and the Tri-City FD, were dispatchedtoBridgeviewMarina on August 4 in regards to a report of an explosion. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Brandon Cox, a 52-year-old male from Oklahoma City fueled up his Cabin Cruiser and drifted away from the dock. When he attempted to start the engine, a spark caused the boat to explode.
A five-year-old male was transported by Air Evac to the Parkland Burn Center in Dallas, Texas for burns to his arms, legs and face. Reports show he is in stable condition.
