The National Sand Bass Festival is set to kick off June 1. The week-long festival is an annual event that Marshall County residents look forward to each year.
Activities will include a talent show concert, nightly concerts, corn hole tournaments, The Mack Stafford Memorial Softball tournament, a car show, a baby crawl and turtle races. There will be various vendors offering food and beverages as well as shopping options with local arts and crafts.
SandBassFestivalChair and Madill Chief of Police Donny Raley said he is excited about this year's event and anticipates a big turn out.
“We are excited to offer another great week full of entertainment and excitement,” Raley said.
Raley said that there will be more vendors this year.
“As for vendors, we are seeing record numbers of vendors last year and so far this year.”
Raley also said that the festival attendance is starting to get back to prepandemic numbers.
“Crowdshavebeenamazing since COVID and I will say we are back to as normal as you can get after a huge pandemic,” Raley said. “Certainly, ourgrowingnumbers reflect that people are ready for normal again.”
