The Allsups Deep Fried Burrito, a legend as big as the Texas sky itself. From the humble beginnings of a drive-in grocery store in Roswell, NM to locations stretching across nine states that include Texas and, just recently, Oklahoma.
The golden-fried tortilla wrapped delight has made its way here to Madill with the new Allsup’s location that opened recently. Last month was the 50th Anniversary of the multi-generational treat that has a cult following to date.

Some may have wondered what the hype is all about. As a native Texan, I basically grew up eating these tasty treats.
I am fairly certain I was eating a deep-fried bean and beef burrito before I could walk. As a kid, my family moved around quite a bit. However, my family roots are buried deep in west Texas and New Mexico.
