OSU Extension project

The OSU Expo Center Expansion is on Track for 2025 Completion. Marshall County District #2 Commissioner Nick Hartin said the progression is going quite smoothly.

“ConstructionontheOklahoma State University Expo Center’s expansion project is progressing as planned, despite the region’s typical April and May downpours,” Hartin said.

Work began in January 2024withthegoalofcompleting the new 27,000 square foot multi-purpose building by early 2025. The project has been funded in part by a $3 million grant received in 2020 from the American Rescue Plan Act.

The expansion aims to meet the growing demand for event space and agricultural exhibitions in Marshall County.

“Seeing growth in the County, the County Commissioners wanted to spend the funds on something that could benefit and provide service for the entire county,” Hartin said about the new facility.

The new facility is envisioned as a versatile space that can accommodate a variety of events, from emergency command centers and drive-thru clinics to home and garden shows, boat and trade shows, county fairs and livestock exhibitions.

Upon completion, the expanded Expo Center is anticipated to attract more visitors, stimulate the local economy, and further solidify its position as a premier venue for the region.

For more than 20 year,s the Marshall County OSU Expo Center has been a cornerstone of the county, hosting numerous events throughout the year including the county Fair in September. This expansion project represents a significant investment in the community’s future.
