Every year during the National Sand Bass Festival, there is a tiny race with tiny contestants.TheKingSandie Diaper Dash Baby Crawl is slotted to take place on June 10 at 11:05 a.m.
There are three separate age divisions. six to eight months, nine to ten months and eleven to twelve months. The child must crawl the entire race to the finish line. If a crawler stops crawling and pops up, they must go back to the starting line.
Only one parent/adult is allowed at the start line and one parent/adult is allowed at the finish line to entice the child to race. The winner for each race will be the first baby to touch the finish line with any part of their body.
Bribery is strongly encouraged, so pacifiers, toys, bottles and other enticing items are allowed at the finish line. Each age division will have trophies. Age divisions may be combined if there is a low turn out.
