The Madill School Board held a meeting on June 1, 2022. One of the agenda items was about the 2.1 million dollar bond.

The General Obligation Combined Purpose Bonds is the 2.1 million dollar bond set for the 2022-2023 school year.. It includes an exterior renovation of the Middle School gym/annex along with other renovations throughout the school district.

The bonds were previously approved and this meeting was for the school board to decide which of the three bids to choose..

The bids were from First National Bank of the Madill Branch, First National Bank of the Ardmore Branch, and Legacy Bank from Hinton, Okla. The school board chose the First National Bank of Madill Branch to fund the 2.1 million dollar bond at a net cost of $129,291 at an interest rate of 3.035 percent.

The board also discussed teacher resignations and new hires. They accepted resignations from Adam Potter, Ashley Cooper, and Jessica Spence.

The board also approved the employment of Tyler Ramirez, middle school math and middle school wrestling; Jesa King, elementary teacher; Olivia Bench, elementary teacher; Bethany Mancini, Early Childhood Center teacher; Jacob Wilkerson, coach; and Debbie Allen, part-time teacher.

The board then approved three employees transferring to different positions at MPS. Brooke Davis will be the new school counselor in the elementary, Margarita Galicia will help with custodial duties, and Tim Davis will continue to be with the special education groups at Madill.

After the resignations and new hires, the school board approved a new security company for all of the schools. Madill voted to switch to ADT for the new fire and security alarms.

The old systems were through US Alert and needed to be swapped out because they were outdated and not cooperating with Madill.
