Montana Hightower

For Kingston High School senior, Montana Hightower, creativity is more than an interest—it’s the center of who she is. Having lived in Kingston her entire life, she’s grown up surrounded by a community that has watched her passion for the arts deepen through choir, visual art and theater.

Hightower didn’t set out to be involved in so many different artistic activities; it happened naturally. What started as a childhood love for drawing and singing slowly grew into something meaningful.

Show Choir gives her a stage to perform, musicals allow her to step into new characters and art lets her create in ways that feel expressive and personal. Each outlet gives her something different, and together they shape her identity as an artist.

Her dedication is felt by those around her. Teachers describe her as enthusiastic, disciplined and always willing to uplift younger students.

Whether she’s performing asoloorworkingonadetailed art project, Hightower brings a mix of creativity and determination that inspires people who work with her.

“If you have a dream, then you should never give up no matter what. You can’t be successful if you don’t fail.”

This quote from Jackson Wangholdsdeepmeaningfor her. It reminds Hightower that setbacks are part of the process—and often the moments that lead to the most growth.

Balancing school, rehearsals, and personal goals isn’t always easy, but the challenges have taught her resilience, confidence and commitment to what she loves.

Lookingtowardthefuture, she said she plans to attend Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she will double major in theater and technical production. She’s excited to explore the behind-the-scenes world of lighting, sound, and set design—skills that will allow her to understand theater from every angle and contribute in new ways.
