The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who allegedly peeped in his neighbor’s window. On September 21, Deputy Latasha Broadhead was dispatched to a residence in the 7000 block of Live Oak Drive in Kingston for a Peeping Tom complaint.

Broadhead reached out to the complainant by phone first, because she was not home when Deputy Kasey Cox attempted to make the initial contact and report. The reporting party assured Broadhead that she was home, and she knew who the offender was – Johnny Hendrix.

Once the deputy arrived at the victim’s house, she was informed of the incident as it occurred. According to the police report, the complainant was taking a bath and watching Netflix. The resident continued to hear noises outside her bathroom window. However, she did not think anything of it until she “saw her dog alert to the noise as well.”

At that point, the woman called her father and asked him to come check out the noises. After hanging up, the victim grabbed a robe to cover herself and peered outside. “[Redacted] stated she quickly looked out her window and she saw a white male with short hair walking away from her window,” Broadhead stated.

The victim’s father arrived, and they went outside to look around by the window to see what they could find. At that moment, the alleged peeper must not have seen them standing by the window, because he came “riding up on her property on a small pink bicycle.” That was when the victim was able to identify Hendrix.

When the suspect saw the victim and her father standing where he allegedly left earlier, he muttered a few expletives and went back to his house, which is located next door.

The woman stated her father followed Hendrix to his residence, but the suspect went inside and did not reemerge. The victim’s father called security to come check the area and they found the back door of the suspect’s residence open. They believe he took off from the area.

The victim stated that the suspect’s girlfriend came outside and “was asking them not to file charges on Johnny.” The victim also stated that when Hendrix was caught trying to return to her window and made his escape on the small pink bicycle, he lost his hat. The girlfriend picked up said hat, and went back inside, and would not answer the door when Broadhead attempted to make contact with her and the suspect.

Currently, there is a misdemeanor charge of Peeping Tom on Hendrix. He has yet to be found and arrested for it, or answer to the charge.
