Madill Schools hosted All District Enrollment last week for new and previously enrolled students Kg through 12th grade. It was a huge success, with over 1,500 students enrolling at the Wildcat Den in one day. This is the fourth year of streamlining enrollment to a single day event. The process has gotten easier and faster with each year.

Parents are able to meet with principals, counselors, and secretaries from each site. On hand for other needs are the cafeteria crew, coaches, and school supplies for JOM students.  A table filled with school information like calendars, sports schedules, school supply lists, menus, open house flyers and more was also provided.

The event requires around thirty-five people per hour to make it run smoothly. The district staff graciously volunteered shifts to help fill in where needed. This event couldn’t be done without our great teachers giving of their time. Although it takes weeks of preparation, the ease of the new system works especially well for parents with multiple kids enrolled in school. It is worth the effort to do this for the community. At the end of the night, participants are asked for input on how to improve for next year. One great idea received this year was to work on offering some forms online for parents to fill out in advance. This is a goal for next year, as well as some great ideas that were offered to make enrollment day even better next year.

If you missed the enrollment day for any reason, enrollment cards are now available at each school site to allow you to complete your forms before classes begin. Once completed, students will receive homeroom teacher information. Schedules for grades 6th through 12th will be released at Open House on Tuesday, Aug 13 for all students who have completed their enrollment forms.
