A Marshall County couple were arrested seven days apart from each other after multiple allegations. Debra Cannon and Kendall Cannon are facing multiple charges stemming from two alleged incidents.
It all began on April 19, 2022, when Marshall County Deputy Jacob Stafford was dispatched to a residence in response to physical altercation that occurred the night before. A juvenile female and her father alleged that Debra Cannon, a 37-year-old female from Madill physically assaulted her the previous night.
In her police report, the juvenile alleges that she and Cannon began to argue when Debra struck the juvenile in the head with a flashlight. Stafford noticed the juvenile had a laceration and dried blood on her head to corroborate that a physical altercation had taken place.
That same day, all parties agreed to meet in Ardmore to conduct a C Sera interview. However, Debra failed to appear. The juvenile’s father claimed that Debra had sent him a text and told him she had to pick up her other children. Other than that information, he did not know where she was at only that her last known location was a residence in Wilson.
Later that day, Stafford happened across a vehicle that matched the description of Debra’s. He initiated a stop and verified that it was in fact, Debra.
After placing her in cuffs, and reading her Miranda Rights, Debra said she wanted to speak with Stafford. She claimed that the juvenile pushed her, and she accidentally hit the juvenile in the head with a flashlight.
On April 25, the juvenile and her father contacted Wilson Police Chief Kevin Coley with more allegations concerning the family. This time, the juvenile alleged that Kendall Cannon, a 40-yearold male from Madill, had been sexually assaulting her.
The juvenile alleged that suspect has been raping and fondling her since she was 13 years old and occurred multiple places. She also alleged that Debra Cannon knew about it but failed to do anything about it.
Kendall is currently being held in the Marshall County Jail with a $150,000 bond and is facing charges for First-Degree Rape. Debra is facing charges for Domestic Abuse/Assault and Battery, and Child Neglect. No Oklahoma priors were found in an online search for either suspect.
