Kingston Animal Control will be hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, October the 29 at 6 p.m. There will be popcorn, baked goods, as well as homemade dog treats for everyone’s furry friends.
Activities will include a dog costume contest, trick or treating for the kids and a pie in the face raffle, as well. The raffle tickets are $1 for one ticket or $5 for eight tickets and will give attendees a chance to pie their favorite town employee - all for a good cause.
The funds raised at this event will be used for a new facility for Kingston Animal Control. Melissa Cruz of the Kingston Animal Control said she is hoping that this will be one of many fundraising events over the next several months to help raise the much needed funds for this proposed project.
“The town alone cannot fund this type of project,” Cruz said. “It takes the help of everyone and grants because grants alone will not fund it either.”
The event will be held at Kingston Town Hall at 22 N. Main Street.
