A quieter and hotter pattern settles in for Madill late this week as high pressure aloft expands across the southern Plains. A low end chance for storms remains on Wednesday night, then a dry stretch takes over from Thursday through the weekend.
As the active storm track retreats north, nothing will be around to interrupt the daytime heat, and temperatures will make a return to dangerously hot levels by the weekend.
Highs run from the mid 90s to near 100 from Thursday through early next week, while warm and muggy nights fall only into the mid to upper 70s. The heat holds steady into Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with little day to day change expected.
