The Forecast Calls for

Thursday brings a brief period of quieter weather for Madill and the Lake Texoma region as the midweek storm system moves out. Storm chances increase Friday night as the next system moves in and the subtropical jet stream strengthens overhead, helping support storm development. The rain will end Saturday as a cold front moves through, bringing cooler, drier air to southern Oklahoma. A few stronger storms are possible Friday night, but the severe threat remains low for the Madill area. High pressure settles in from Sunday through Wednesday, bringing several days of calm, dry weather before warmth and humidity return by midweek.
