Community night out

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office is planning a Community Night Out. The event will be May 11 at 5 p.m. at the Marshall County Expo Center.

This family friendly event will be the first of what MC SheriffDonaldYowsaidhopefully will be an annual event for Marshall County.

There will be emergency vehicles on hand for the kids and kids at heart to enjoy. At 6 p.m., there will be a showing of the movie Courage: Honor BeginsatHome,withpopcorn and drinks being provided. Yow said this initiative was inspired by the National Night Out Events, a national campaignaimedatpromoting police and community partnerships; and hopes this will be an annual event to bring together all the residents of Marshall County.
