Josh Hall is the owner of TwistedAnchorGrill&Patio, located at 14554 Arrowhead Point Road in Buncombe Creek. The restaurant was launched in May of 2024 with the goal of becoming a destination point on the lake, providing quality food and exceptional service. Hall, who grew up around the previous restaurant, Anchor N, his entire life, said he saw an opportunity to create something unique for both locals and tourists alike.
He became a utility contractor in 2010 and has been fortunate enough to pursue this endeavor with Twisted Anchor.
One of the main objectives of the restaurant is to give back to the community. Hall andhisteamhavemadegood headway on this front but are still working through growing pains. He said they are excited to see guests' enthusiasm for the new place, witness theirteamgrowandhelp the community during their grand opening giveaways.
Despite running the restaurant, Hall continues to operate a utility contracting company in the water/wastewater industry,servingOklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Kansas. His specialized area is water tower construction and water storage tanks for federal, state, local agencies and municipalities.
Hall's family has a long history with Buncombe, dating back to the 70s. They moved to Buncombe in 1995, where Hall attended Kingston High and graduated in 2005. His parents continued living in Buncombe until their passing, Hall operates Turner Enterprises in Buncombe, which includes boat storages, an auto/marine mechanic shop, a striper guide service, and an excavation company. He currently resides in Oklahoma City with his two daughters, and continues to frequent their lake home and maintain their family boat storage business.
Hall said he has plans for a kitchen expansion to accommodate the growing number of customers. Although there may be long wait times, Hall said he and his team are determined to serve over 150 people from the same kitchen that used to serve only 38 people in an hour. They understand that progress takes time and believe that you have to eat an elephant one bite at a time.
