Well, here it is the middle of September already and surely cooler temps in the forecast? Hope everyone had a good week. With the election year, Pandemic, unrest with the school aged children and their learning, along with the unstable workforce, I hope all affected can see that “this too shall pass” and we can get on with our daily lives.

I hope everyone was able to participate in the Lifeline screening that was held at the Texoma Southern Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Tuesday, September 15. The tests they perform can be life altering, depending on their conclusion.

The Texoma Southern Baptist Church is again opening their doors on Saturday, September 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the Open Arms Clothes Closet. Here you may find clothes for yourself or your children. Come by and see what they have.

After eight weeks of classes, seven members of the Buncombe Creek Volunteer Fire Department passed their written and skills test for the Marshall County and Johnston County Emergency Medical Responder class. They need only to pass the state certification test to become official certified EMRs. Congratulations to the volunteers who help our community. I don’t have much to report this week, so stay safe an enjoy each and every day!
