The Madill Rose Garden Club’s August Yard of the Month is at the home of Samantha Jalili. She lives at 614DunnDrive,atthecorner of City Lake Road.
The east-facing house allows the flower bed some cooler shade in the hot August afternoons. A lovely banana tree graces the entrance along with knock-out roses. In the front is a tall, sculptured holly with a pot of elephant ears down below.
Hydrangeas and pink hibiscus flank either side with moreroses. Shealsohassome focus items in her garden such as a colorful peacock, two cat figurines, a bird bath and a Buddha statue under the leaves in the shade. This yard has a kind, inviting feel like an oasis in the desert.
