The 82nd Annual Marshall County Jr. Livestock Show will begin Wednesday, February 28 through Saturday, March 2 at the Community Building and fair barn in the William Ray Memorial Park.
Check-in for sheep, goats, and poultry is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, February 28. Beef and swine check-in will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, February 29.
On Thursday, February 29, the morning begins with the poultry at 9:00 a.m. followed by the wether lambs at 10:00 a.m. Then, it will be the ewe lambs at 10:45 a.m., wether goats at 11:30 a.m. and doe goats at 12:15 p.m.
Following that, the Jr. Leadline interviews and tea will be at 3:00 p.m., Sr. Leadline interviews and tea at 4:15 p.m., Leadline will begin at 6:30 p.m., pen of two at 7:30 p.m. and best-dressed animal at 8:00 p.m..
On Friday, March 1, the event will begin with the Hank Hartin Memorial Breakfast at 6:30 a.m. The livestock show starts with gilts at 8:00 a.m., barrows at 10:30 a.m., heifers at 2:00 p.m. and steers at 3:00 p.m. The showmanship preparation will be at 5:00 p.m., the showmanship contest at 6:00 p.m. and the Ag achievement test at 8:00 p.m. or right after showmanship concludes.
Saturday, March 2, everyone is invited to the Premium Dinner which starts at 5:30 p.m. and the Premium Sale which will begin at 6:30 p.m. The livestock staff hopes that everyone will attend the show and support Kingston and Madill 4-H and FFA members.
