The Texoma Fire Auxillary met on December 20, 2021 for a short meeting that started with the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a Christmas Luncheon and a gift exchange. There were 16 members in attendance.
Gayla Freeman won the door prize. The birthdays that were celebrated were for Judy Jeffries and Merry Blevins.
It was reported that Arlena Cagle had fallen and broken her hip. Prayers for a rapid recovery.
The Texoma Fire District Board of Directors meets the first Thursday of the month at the Training/Community Center at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
The Texoma Fire District Auxiliary meets the third Monday of the month at 10978 Parkview, just south of Rooster Creek Bridge at 1:30 p.m. with a social gathering at 1 p.m.
The exercise/stretching classes are on Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. and the cards/games are on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. Auxillary members are welcome to join in on the fun. Bring finger foods to share and have a fun time.
For anybody interested in renting the Texoma Community Building, contact Gayla Freeman at (580) 565-4043 and leave a message. She will get right back with the interested person. The cost is $75 per day, and they must be a member of the Texoma Fire District.
For anybody interested in joining the Texoma Volunteer Fire Department, contact Chief Todd Cissell at (580)565-4491. The Lighthouse Methodist Church at 4923 Alberta Creek Rd. has a free meal the last Wednesday of the month from 5 to 6 p.m. They will resume their weekly Wednesday dinner beginning December 29, 2021.
