Buncombe:
Another month has come and gone and August is now on the horizon. Classes for Kingston schools start Thursday, August 8, so we will need to watch out for children and buses.
This coming Saturday, August 3, will be another night of Bingo at the Buncombe Creek Community Center. Mini games start at 6:30 p.m. with regular bingo beginning at 7:30 p.m. Come out for a fun evening and win some money.
Only two weeks left until the Lake Texoma Association hosts their “Bash for Cash” at the Tanglewood Resort on August, 15.
Come by boat or drive over there for an entertaining evening and bid on their live and silent auction items, as well as a superb dining experience and dancing. Call 580-564-2543 for tickets.
The Buncombe Babe’s Red Hats will be enjoying their monthly luncheon at the Cotton Patch in Ardmore on Friday, August 2, at 11:00 a.m. If you would like to join a fun bunch of ladies once a month to just get together and “Be Silly”, then this is the group for you. On Thursday, August 8, the Shay Community Center will hosting their Ice Cream Social at 6:30 p.m. Be sure to attend.
Jimbo and Jamey Edwards have been dealing with some tough medical issues lately and it has been a rough patch for both of them. Let’s keep them in our prayers for healing mercies.
