Most every person has needed help during the holiday season, or knows somebody who did.

Hope For Marshall County is holding their annual event to assist families in need for the holiday season.

The 8th Annual Fill the Sleigh event will be held Saturday, November 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Entry into the event will be $5 or a new, unwrapped toy.

The events planned for the extravaganza are vendors, crafters, food trucks, a bake sale, a DJ and a bounce house.

The C7 band is slotted to take the stage for a performance, be sure to bring lawn chairs.

There will be a cupcake competition, and the newly added event – a BBQ cook-off. There will be multiple superheroes, Disney and Christmas characters for the little ones to hang out with.

Santa will be present and sitting in his chair. Children can sit on his lap, give their Christmas list, and leave with one free picture with him and Mrs. Claus. Of course, extra pictures will be available for purchase.

There will be carriage rides, face painting, story time with milk and cookies. Children will be able to get up close and personal to an ambulance, fire truck and other emergency vehicles.

There will be a cupcake walk, cotton candy and funnel cake.
