Hello Enos. Not sure if we will be wearing coats or shorts this week. Mother Nature just cannot seem to make up her mind what season we are currently in. But no matter what the temperature reads, the calendar says it is Fall and Thanksgiving is here. Are you ready?

We all know how busy our calendars are this time of year. Here are some things to add to our full list.

The Enos Christmas Parade will be Saturday, December

7. Lineup will begin at noon at the Firehouse. Get those rides decorated and come out and join the fun. Following the parade, there will be cookies and hot cocoa for the kids (and big kids) at the Enos Community Center. Rumor has it that Santa will be in attendance.

Purchase your raffle tickets now for the three drawings that will take place following the parade, you do not need to be present to win. There are various gift certificates available and a 50/50 cash drawing. These tickets are $1 each and available for purchase from The Enos Gateway Mall, Vonnie’s Bar, Texoma Corral and Dean’s Dispensary.

There will also be a drawing for a Mossberg 12 -auge shotgun. These tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. These are available for purchase from Copperhead Motors and Vonnie’s Bar.

Don’t forget to spread the Christmas cheer by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy for our Christmas for Kids. Drop off available at Enos Gateway Mall, Enos Dollar General and Texoma Corral.

If you or someone you know needs assistance with Christmas, applications are now available. Please call Kathy Caldwell at 580-564-5208 for more information.

Don’t forget about Warm Up Marshall County. Your donations of new or slightly used, clean items are greatly needed and appreciated. Please drop off coats, hoodies, gloves and scarves at Pharmacy Plus in Madill. You can contact Cindy McKibban at 580-564-5267 for more information. All donations remain in Marshall County.

Texoma Trade Days is coming. The first event will be Saturday, December 7 and continue each first Saturday of the month. If you would like more information or are interested in being a vendor, please contact Kacey, 580-504-4394 or Karla, 405-808-9315.

Santa Clause will be making an appearance at the Enos Dollar General on Saturday, November 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Bring the kids to see Santa. You can also drop off a new, unwrapped toy for the Christmas for Kids and purchase raffle tickets.

This is a lot of activity for Enos and I am certain that there will be more to come. Have a great week, do something nice for someone and remember, “Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” - unknown
