Buncombe Creek Marina hosted its annual Burning of the Socks event on March 29. They had a chili cook off and other contests. The chili cook-off fan favorite was HST- Heather and Jeremiah Stanfield; hottest/spiciest, Michael Bailey; 1st place judge's choice, Texoma Fish Inn; 2nd placeThe Shipyard; 3rd, J&J BBQ. The winner of the Best BBQ was Brenda Smith, best beef; Kevin Peterson, best chicken and Red BBQ, best pork.
