Body

I want to remind everyone if walking in the woods, that archery season began October 1, so be aware and wear orange.

The Texoma Southern Baptist Church here in Buncombe Creek will be hosting their annual Fall Fest on Sunday, October 27 from 6:00 p.m.to 7:30 p.m.

There will be games, facepainting and a cake walk, to name a few of the activities. This event is for toddlers through 5 grade. No scary costumes, please.

We’re starting to look at lights for the annual lighting at the marina in November.

I will get a poster out soon for all those who would be interested in having a light display this year.

The Buncombe Creek Community Center will be hosting a “Baked Potato Pile-On” with all the fixings, by donation on Saturday, October 26 starting at 6:00 p.m. Be sure to stop by and support our local community center, as they strive to meet ever-rising maintenance costs.

Have a safe week.
