With fall comes a cooler, much wanted temp. This month seems to be a flurry of activities. The Buncombe Babe’s Red Hat group will be venturing to Whitesboro on Friday, October 4 at 11:00 a.m. to have lunch at Love Joy’s restaurant.
On Saturday, October 5, prepare for another night of Bingo at the Buncombe Creek Community Center. Mini games start at 6:30 p.m. with regular bingo beginning at 7:30 p.m. Come out for a fun evening and win some money.
The Buncombe Creek Volunteer Fire Dept. will be hosting their Open House on Saturday, October 5. Be sure to come by and hear what has been going on.
For the art buff, there are two local art shows this month. The Firefly Art Festival will be held October 11 through 13 at LaGene’s Nursery in Enos and The Madill Art Show will be here October 18 through 20 at the Marshall County Expo Center. I will be enjoying both.
Keep in mind that the Christmas Lighting at the Marina is fast approaching. We will need help restringing lights this year. Also, we hope to construct the large tree lights that used to be the highlight at the Marina years ago. Have a safe and fun filled week.
