The 24th Annual Lebanon Stampede will be held Saturday, October 5 at the Lebanon Community Center and McCoy Arena.
The festivities will kick off with a parade at 10:30 a.m. The parade theme this year is Patriotic. Bring your classic cars, tractors, golf carts, side by sides, 4 wheelers, floats, horses or whatever you wish and join in the fun. Prizes will be awarded.
The BBQ lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. The brisket is being prepared by Danny Westbrook at LaGrande’s. A $5 donation is requested for the lunch.
The 6th Annual Perry Dorer Memorial Teams Roping will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the McCoy Arena. Books will be open from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. It is 3 head/$30, 10 pt – capped at 6, (USTRC TRIAD#). You do not have to have USTRC card to rope, but the arena manager has the right to reclassify any roper. Prizes include cash, breast collars, halters and lead ropes, reins and feed.
The Stampede was started 24 years ago by Dawnyce McCoy in an effort to raise money for the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department. It has become the Department’s major fund raiser.
