Last Friday, the Kingston Redskins made the two hour trip to take on one of the top ten teams in the state, the Idabel Warriors. This week, the Redskins found themselves out-matchedandcame home with their first loss of the season in their second non-district game.

The Warriors were the first on the scoreboard with an 88-yard pass that resulted inatouchdown.TheRedskins eventually answered back with a long pass to Eli Oliger that led to a Reid Patterson touchdown run. After the missed extra point, the score was 7-6, Warriors. Idabel answered quickly with two more touchdowns to end the first quarter.

The second and third quarters were all Idabel. The Redskins did not score again until the 4th quarter when Rafe Patterson ran the ball for a touchdown, making the final score 13-54,Idabel.

Senior Rhett Coble said he hopes the team uses this game as a learning experience.

“I hope that we use the Idabel game as motivation to focus on working harder and avoid some of the little mistakes we are making,” Coble said. “We are looking forward to this week’s game as an opportunity to get another win at home and put the Idabel game behind us.”
