Coach Bobby McAdoo and the young Redskins had their season come to an end on February 23 when they lost in the Consolation bracket in the Region al Tournament on February 23. They were unable to turn the home court advantage to their favor. The final score, 54 to 43, advantage Atoka.

The first quarter was an indication of the struggles on offense that would plague the Redskins all game long. Brock Rumer and Drew Anderson each had nice three pointers. Reid Cason, doubled all night, had a bucket and he was 2 of 2 from the line. Sam Walker was battling inside and getting to the line where he was 2 of 4. Meanwhile, Atoka was shooting out of their mind. They could not miss and had triple three pointers without a miss. The score after one quarter was 17 to 12, advantage Atoka.

Second quarter was rough for the Redskins. The defenders on Reid had decided to put him on the line instead of letting him get to the rim. He responded going 4 of 5 from the line. Eli Oliger missed his only free throw attempt. The halftime score was 27 to 16, again Atoka in control.

Inthethirdquarter,Cason finally got loose to the rim. He made it count with a dunk and two more buckets. Walker had a bucket and Oliger had a good quarter with two buckets. Anderson was 1 of 2 from the line. The Redskins put up a fight, though still trailing, 42 to 29.

In the fourth quarter, Hudson Everhardt came in off the bench and brought some much-needed energy. With fresh legs, he began to give the Wampus Cat guards fits. One steal and a long pass to Cason, they connected for a big slam dunk. Everhardt had just gotten started, though. He respondedwiththreebuckets on strong drives. Anderson added another three pointer. Cason and Rumer got to the free throw line and were both 2 of 2. The final score, Atoka 54 to Redskins 43.

Box score: Cason lead the team with 17 points, including 7 of 10 from the line. He had10rebounds,threedunks and two blocked shots. Next was Anderson with seven, Everhardt six, Rumer five, Oliger and Walker had four each.
