TheLadyRedskinsplayed theAtokaLadyWampusCats on November 29. The ladies looked impressive in their season opener.

The Lady Redskins came away with a 74 to 43 win. What was most satisfying wastheoffensiveexplosionby the back court trio of Laney French, Olivia Quapaw and JaciHerndon.Theycombined for 45 points, outscoring the Lady Wampus Cats by themselves.

Rumer sent a starting lineup out that consisted of seniors Kamry Bohannon, Ethel Stewart, Kaya Wiebener, French and sophomore Herndon.TheLadyRedskins controlled the tip, scored and basically the game was over at that point.

In that quarter, the ball was moving on the offensive end, and everyone was getting into the scoring. From outside the arc, Wiebener, HerndonandQuapawallhad three pointers. Stewart had five points.

Bohannon was good for a free throw. She also had three blocked shots. Herndon andQuapawaddedtwo-point buckets. French pitched in three, two point field goals. At the buzzer, the score was 25 to 7.

In the second quarter, French served notice that she was just getting started. She started hitting the three and did not stop; four three pointers in the quarter for her. That gave her 18 points for the first half. Quapaw hit her second three and added two lay ups. Wiebener had two points as did Stewart. Bohannon had a free throw as did Tabitha Arnold. Half time score was 53 to 13.

French had not cooled off during the half time. She was good for two more three pointers. Bohannon had a nice quarter with six points total including a three pointer. Quapawaddedtwomorefield goals to her total. Herndon and Brooklyn Claborn each had field goals. After three quarters, the score was 72 to 26.

No starters played the fourth quarter. Senior Candice Felton scored the only Lady Redskin goal. The final score was 74 to 43.

Box Score French led the team with 24 points, including six three pointers. Next, was Quapaw with 14, Bohannon and Wiebener each had nine points. Stewart and Herndon each had seven points. Claborn and Felton had two each and Arnold had one. From the charity stripe, the team was 6 of 13.
