Emily Bellettini is the daughter of BJ and Melissa Bellettini and is a senior at Kingston High School. She has been a redskin her entire life.

She participates in basketball, athletics, NHS and Student Council.

Bellettini began playing basketball at a young age and now she is a major factor on the court for the Lady Redskins. She said the three words that describe her as an athlete are “hardworking, coachable and leader.”

She said she prepared each summer for the game by playing basketball on trips and attending camps. She also said that her biggest contribution to the team is leadership.

She noted that her proudest moment as an athlete was playing in the State Tournament. Bellettini said the hardest part of basketball is the mental side, but it has also taught her how to push through when things get tough.

Bellettini gave plenty of credit to Coach Rumer for inspiring her to do the best she could even when she didn't always want to try hard.

“Being Lady Redskin has taught me to accept things that are more important than myself,” she said.

She told the freshmen that it is important to persist.

“When things get tough and you think you want to quit, keep trying because you are stronger than you think.”

Rumer described Bellettini as a “tremendous contribution to the program over four years. Not only does she excel on the court but also in the classroom, making her a true student-athlete.”

She wanted to tell her classmates that she appreciates everything.

“Thank you for her hard work and dedication and for making basketball four memorable years.”

Bellettini said her biggest fans are her parents and that her favorite athlete from Kingston was Britny Henderson. Her future plans include going to college at OSU.
