Braylee Schneider is a senior basketball player for the Madill High School. She is the daughter of Shane and Stacie Schneider and has three younger siblings named Josh, Shalyn, and Hadley Schneider. She has attended Madill public schools since Pre-K.

Schneider said she has been playing basketball since she was in grade school and has loved it ever since. She was an All-Star her junior year.

She said her biggest challenge was trying to keep her grades perfect but also trying to be the best she could be in basketball.

“I wanted to make sure I was doing my best at everything I did to make my family proud,” she said. “I never really had anyone who inspired me in sports but knowing I had supporters encouraged me to always play hard and never quit.”

Schneider said she has so many fond memories from basketball but taking game day photos with Lydia Landgraf since their freshman year is at the top of the list.

“Now that we are seniors, it’s crazy to look back on them,” she said.

Schneider said her parents have inspired her in life.

“My parents have worked hard for everything they have. They are some of the strongest people I know, which has inspired me to do the same,” she said. “Thank you, guys, for believing in me and pushing me to always do my best no matter what and thank you for being my biggest supporters and number one fans. I wouldn’t be where I am today without you.”

After high school, Schneider plans on attending cosmetology school and going to college to get her business degree to eventually opening her own cosmetology business. Her advice to the younger classman is to “enjoy every second and always work hard because it pays off as well as making the most of it because it really does go by fast.”
