Gerald Wayne Mizell 82, of Kingston, Okla. passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. He was born on November 1, 1937 in Tulsa, Okla. to the late Earl Mizell and Evelyn Winsett Mizell.

Gerald was raised in Tulsa where he graduated from the Will Rogers High School and later attended East Central University in Ada, Okla. He married Marilyn Mizell and she preceded him in death. Gerald joined the United States Army where he served for several years. He moved back to Tulsa and worked for American Airlines retiring after 40 years. He married Cecelia Clydene Cissell on June 3, 1985 in Glendale, Arizona.

He lived in North Richland Hills, Texas before moving to Kingston in 2001 where he lived the rest of his life. Gerald was affiliated with the Baptist faith and he enjoyed going to the casinos, collecting eagles and playing 42.

He is survived by his wife Cecelia Mizell of Kingston, Okla., children; Kenneth W. Mizell and wife Dena of Houston, Texas, Tamara L. Mizell of Arlington, Texas, Steven E. Mizell of Kingston, Okla., stepchildren, F. Shelton Richardson of Plano, Texas, Donald R. Richardson of San Diego, Calif., nine grandchildren,and eleven great grandchildren.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and stepfather, Paul L. Brown.

Memorial Services will be Thursday, May 21, 2020 at the KYC Building, Kingston, Okla. at 1:30 pm. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
