Dolores was born April 17, 1941 in Muenster, Texas. She graduated from Madill High School in Oklahoma in 1959 andmarriedMarkJ.Hermesin1963. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and playing with her grandkids.

Dolores was predeceased by her parents, PeteandGertrude(Sicking)Koelzer; husband, Mark Hermes; brother, Victor Koelzer; sister, Alice Hermes; brothersin-law, Arnold Knabe, Joe Hermes, John H. Jones; sisters-in-law Pauline Koelzer, Joyce Koelzer and Marie Koelzer.

She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Hermes of Woodbine, Leah Groce of Era, Texas, Karen Mendoza (Lupe) of Krum, Texas; son, Chris Hermes of Woodbine; grandchildren, Alex, Jacki, Sami, Dustin, and Dakota; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Aileen Knabe of Muenster, Texas, Veronica Jones of Madill, Okla.; brothers, Wilfred Koelzer of Keller, Texas, Melvin Koelzer (Bobbie) of Muenster, Norman Koelzer of Muenster; brothers-inlaw Ralph Hermes (Debbie) of Gainesville, Texas, Francis Hermes of Gainesville; sister-in-law Rosemary Dankesreiter (Tom) of Muenster.

A Rosary service, followed by visitation, was held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gainesville. A committal service followed at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Muenster, Texas.
