Curtis was born March 24 1974 to Dana and Geneva Burchett in Ardmore Okla. He is survived by his parents, brothers and sisters-in-law Kevin and Sara, Mike and Amanda, Mark and Anna, nieces and nephews Paul, Kayton, Jenny Lynn, Hope, Gage, Cane, Elijah, Jude, and Jacoby, his Aunts and Uncles Clovis and Edwina Russell, Larry and Barbara Russell, Paula Chilton, Donna Burchett, Lana and Greg Harrison, and many cherished and beloved cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents U.S. and Dean Burchett, Cecil and Martha Russell, aunts and uncles Glen and Lois Burchett, Larry Chilton, Roland and Clara May Burchett.

Curtis touched the lives of many friends over the years. He always wanted to help if he could and always had a smile. He was a social butterfly and made many friends wherever he went. He liked to give rabbit ears during picture taking no matter what the occasion was and referred to the nieces and nephews as Hot Shot when playing around with them. It would brighten his day if you gave him a soda. He loved to eat and really loved jalapeno peppers, at an early age he won many pepper eating contests with friends. As Curtis was in the hospital he would tickle the nurses as they cared for him trying to joke with them even when he was feeling miserable.

Most of all Curtis loved Jehovah God and Jesus Christ. He attended many meetings over the years and made many friends at the Kingdom Halls he attended. He enjoyed helping people. Our family has the same hope as the Apostle Paul where he wrote at Acts 24:17 “And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”

The Family would like to thank Whispering Oaks for the attention and dedication the staff made to their tenants, also the nurses and medical personnel at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore where the staff got to know him and the family.
